I Love You

I have 2 beautiful granddaughters.  In fact, they are the most beautiful granddaughters in the world.  You grandparents know exactly where I am coming from.     To me they are the most beautiful in the world.

They are both girls, Bethany - age 4 and Grayson - age 2. 

While they are a handful at times, I still love them both, more than I thought I could ever love another human being. 

It's funny, that they fuss and fight like all siblings do, but when one is crying, the other one reaches out with a hug. 

The one thing that is most precious is that out of the blue, "I love you Papaw," with no provocation, not asking for anything, just "I love you."

You know, I believe that God would like to hear that from us a lot more than we say it.  Instead, we go to Him with a laundry list of requests that we have, and though not generally stated, we are thinking "Lord here's my list.  I would like it done this way and in this time frame."

Even with all the mess in our lives, He still loves us.  I heard a song on the radio that says "God sees a Cross."  Whenever He looks at a born again believer, He sees that cross that threw away all of our sins.  WOW what a Savior.

But, when was the last time you and I went to Him and just said, "Lord I love you."  Why do we find it so hard to take the time to do that, after all He has done for us.  I don't know about you, but I know where I would be if He didn't love me and hadn't saved me.  I would be on my way to hell, but He thought enough of me to allow His son to die for my sins.  The very least I should do is tell Him that I love Him and praise Him for who He is. 

Take some time to tell Him how much you love Him.  He is worthy of all praise, honor and glory!!
