Brian's Story
Monday afternoon I heard by phone that my nephew, Brian St. Clair, had suffered a heart attack. Tuesday night the family had to pull the life sustaining machine off and he went home to be with His Lord.
But during his life here, he spent many long hours in construction work. He took what God had given him, his construction abilities, and used them for the upbuilding of the kingdom of God.
There were several trips to mission fields where he helped build churches and homes. There were also many in-state and out-of-state trips on church planting missons where he was involved in the construction.
I can just imagine people in heaven walking up to him and saying "I am here because you cared enough to get your hands dirty and build our church."
Now I ask you, are you a worker for God's kingdom, or are you a bench warmer? Just sitting on the sidelines watching as other people work.
God wants you to get off the bench and work for Him. But more importantly, you need to get off the bench and put your time and talents to work for him. You will move so much closer to God as you watch the wonders that He can do with your time and talents.
May God Bless You
