Hey , y'all.  We pray that God has been good to you through the first month of 2010.  Time just keeps on getting' away.

 I have 2 grandchildren, Bethany - almost 4 years old and Grayson - 2 years old.  They are the earthly love of my life.  I love spending time playing with them.

They spend every weekend in our home while living with their parents during the week.  It's always sad to see them go on Sunday afternoon.

But Friday afternoons are just the opposite.  The come rollin' into the house with arms open for hugs, shouting "Papaw, Papaw".  What a feeling it is as they jump up into my arms for those 'hello' hugs.  Then it's off to their room to play.

I wonder, do we as God's children go to Him with open arms to tell Him we love Him.  I know Hc covets our praise, honor and love.  Do we do that just on Sunday, considering Sunday His visitation day?  Then off to our own devices for the rest of the week?

Or even worse, do we just go to Him on an "as needed" basis?  Call on His name when we need Him to get us out of a jam that we have gotten ourselves into.  Or maybe just using Him as a Fire Escape.

Today, why not make a time daily to spend with Him in prayer.  His guidance and blessing can make each and every day of our lives seem to go more smoothly, even if no circumstances have changed.
