There is an old song that is one of my favorites, especially when I am going through battles or the many trials of this life.  There was a question that was sent out to a lot of people and it went like this??  What song gets you through some of the major battles in your life?  This song was one of the top answers.  The song starts:

 In the dark of the midnight, have I oft hid my face
 While the storm howls above me and there's no hiding place
 Mid the crash of the thunder, precious Lord hear my cry
 Keep me safe ?til the storm passes by.

I look back on my life and see so many times where God did keep be safe in the middle of storms.  He was right there with me.  But, as I really take a look back, He worked everything our for my good.

The second verse is equally special:

 Many times Satan whispered, "There is no need to try,
 For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by"
 But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise
 Where the storms never darken the skies.

Those words are especially true also.  Satan is right there with you in the storms too, trying to get you to give up your Christian walk.  To give up the fight to move on up closer to the Master through your trial.

I heard a young lady testify at a concert one time about the storms in her life.  Her response to storms has become, "Lord what are you trying to teach me or show me?"  We should look at storms that way.

The last verse:

 When the long night has ended and the storms come no more,
 Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore;
 In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I
 Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.

Just remember, in times of storm, our God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us.  Look to Him for protection, for guidance, for calmness, and look for what can be learned from a storm.

Keep looking up!!
